Antique, C. 1890, Meiji Period JAPANESE SWORD KATANA!
I'm starting from honest disclaimer: my knowledge about swords is next to nothing. However, I'm experienced and honest seller (check out my feedback). Therefore, I used comparisons, sales info from main auction, and provided tons of images. Please ask questions and Thanks for stopping by here!
Nearly identical sword has been sold in 2006 by the Heritage Auctions. Similar were also auctioned by Sotheby's and Christie's:
The sword is 23 7/8" long, it's covered by the decorated bone panels, handmade. The blade is 13 3/4" long, st. steel, some elements of decoration are metal (brass).
Condition:
It's antique authentic and original sword, it has different signs of age and use, this is why I took so many images. Some bone panels have cracks, blade shows signs of use and rust, brass cover has dents. As I mentioned, images are perfectly clear, no tricks, no games, what you see is exactly what you get. Overall, it's very impressive piece of Japanese cultural legacy. All my friends were amazed how stylish it looks...
