[Additional Information]
The Yamato-no-kuni Tegaki school was named after the area around the Tengaimon gate. The ancestor is said to be Houei, and the first generation of the family is thought to have been from the mid to late Kamakura period, and several generations of the same name have succeeded.
This sword was found to be TEGAI_KANENAGA by the famous sharpener Honami Nisshu in 1954. Nisshu discerned that it was a KANENAGA from the Tensho period of the Muromachi period. As he said, it has a beautiful Shape, Koitame with thick Jinie and a thin Suguha blade Hamon. It is a very sound and excellent piece of workmanship.
